As of July 1, 2017 we have been in business for 24 years. Back in the day we used to specialize in grad and wedding gowns. We still have a ton of really awesome gowns but we’ve diversified to include more festival and steampunk gear. What does that mean? Well basically, if you know someone who graduated or got married in BC with an alternative fashion style between 1993 and now then they probably got their gown from us. I mean who else is making wicked cool medieval or renaissance style gowns?
Lately we have been seeing a rebirth of popularity in the alternative grad and bridal style. People have been coming to see us to get their awesome goth gowns and we couldn’t be happier. Making grads and brides happy makes us happy.
Feeling romantic? Try a Juliet Gown with a low back and square neck. Want people to know you’re royalty? Try a Queen Anne Gown with a high collar and sweetheart neck. Need all eyes on you? Try a Bethany Gown with a high collar and long sweeping sleeves. Whatever your style, we have a gown for you.
Most of our gowns have an a-line shape which is universally flattering on all body types. They are generally made from a structured material like tapestry or velvet and have a contrasting inset. Many have a lace up feature in the front which allows your to tailor the gown to your shape. All of the gowns look stellar with a cloak and princess wreath. Gowns are available in sizes 2 – 22.
Do you own a Venus & Mars gown? Tell us about it in the comments below. When did you get it? What did you wear it for? Do you have pictures?
If you know someone who needs a gown why not share this with them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram? Don’t forget to sign up for the Steampunk Tempest to get secret deals!
